Picture following shows a typical four steps antenna design flow :
Step 1: Select the best antenna topology according mechanical constraint :
In this example, the space in Z axis is big, so we choose upright mono-pole PCB antenna
Step 2: Run simulation

Step 3: Build antenna sample :
dummy sample for verifying antenna performance

Step 4: Do fine turning according to the measurement of antenna performance parameters ( return loss and radiation pattern )
